Andrej Bagar Theatre in Nitra I can say with honour, humility and pleasure that in Andrej Bagar Theatre is now very strong, stubborn team which is able to follow up all victorious battles of our predecessors. In spite of the social-political-economic problems of our era it achieves artistic and economic results, which it cannot be ashamed for, just the opposite, it can be proud of them. For example, awards for the best staging of the season 1998/1999 and 2002/2003, for the best acting in 1998/1999, for musical composition in 1998, 2000, 2001, for the best production in the seasons 1998/1999 and 2002/2003, for the best scenography in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, for the best costumes in 2003.Then there was participation at international theatre festival in Bath in England, in Polish cities Gdansk, Torun and Radom, in Hungarian Eger, at festival BITEF in Beograd, MOT in Skopje, in Lithuanian Klaipeda and at many hospitable foreign performances in Prague, Brno, Hradec Kralove, Zlin, Budapest valued by theatre experts and public as well. I believe that with professionals so much possessed with enthusiasm and theatre spirit, who are in our Andrej Bagar Theatre, will be our theatre able to preserve loyalty, favour and interest of all who love us. He and she - life outsiders, who lost their home and family, but they have deep desire and faith to change their lives. Change does not find fullfillness in real act, in collecting of energy which could change desire to act. So persons stay in captivity of remembrances to the past, to old and nice times… Like audience we will have a unique opportunity to enter the slight bitter and funny, grotesque - changing inner world of two life clowns who try to find the way to each other. Also to the era which surprises us with its cruelty. There are many curves and roads are crooked. At the same time we are smiling, crying, we are angry to ourselves, also to our relatives. Ideas and dreams alternate and reality escapes through our fingers. May be today we are also sometimes a little bit funny in our naivity, sad in our existence.
